The Arizona Association of Providers for People with Disabilities (AAPPD) has awarded Representative John Allen with the Legislative Hero Award to recognize his efforts during the 2016 legislative session.
AAPPD Board Members presented Allen with the award at the AAPPD Fall Conference on Friday, September 9, 2016.
“We are especially appreciative of Representative Allen’s work and sponsorship of the ABLE Act this year. The ABLE Act will have a tremendous benefit to the developmental disability community,” said AAPPD Chair Carol Carr.
AAPPD presents the Legislative Hero Award to outstanding advocates for the disability community.
AAPPD is a 501 (c) 4 statewide consortium of providers contracted to deliver services to individuals with developmental and/or physical disabilities, and has served the state of Arizona since 1985. AAPPD provides advocacy, counsel and other services to more than 90 member organizations that share a common dedication to the needs of individuals and families with disabilities.
